Before launching JOYntPay, Ben spent seven years at Vocalink, a Mastercard company and the organisation behind Bacs, Faster Payments and the cheque imaging service. As Product Director, he led strategy for Request to Pay, a real time payments bill pay messaging service. He worked across committees, steering groups and alignment sessions, helping shape the future of UK payments - while seeing first hand how innovation often failed to reach the people who needed it most.

Ben’s career spans commercial leadership, proposition design, financial modelling and product governance across Mastercard, Sky, nPower, SHL and Barclays Wealth. That means he has spent over a decade inside UK payments, and more than 15 years in financial services and commercial product roles.

JOYntPay is the result of his experience: a bill management platform built for real life. Ben’s focus is clarity, control and payment journeys that don’t punish people for having irregular income, shared bills or a life that doesn’t fit a perfect monthly cycle. JOYntPay is designed to make everyday payments feel calmer, more predictable and more human - because the system should work for people, not the other way around.
